Every game has its own version of a loot box, and they typically reward you with money, collectibles, and even experience points, in some cases. The Lugloxes in High On Life are no different, except in appearance, however.
In general, they aren’t that hard to find, although some of them do tend to be in places you wouldn’t expect them to be. It’s much more about how you’re going to get to them, since a lot of the Lugloxes need you to have particular suit upgrades and almost every other weapon you can think of.
What To Expect When Opening Lugloxes
Lugloxes are loot crates that can be found hidden throughout the game. Opening them rewards you with Pesos, collectible trading cards, gun mods, and suit upgrades.
They’re easy to spot because of their distinct features, which include several eyes on their sides, a butt, and two small tentacles on top of its head. These tentacles sway side to side and typically have a bright green glow – it can also be blue on other Lugloxes.
To open all the Lugloxes you’ll need to unlock every Gatlian, especially Knifey, and have the Jetpack and Mag-boots, too. To do this you simply need to play the game until the bounty for Nipulon is available, or you could complete the game entirely. After completing the game you can go anywhere you like and still be able to find the Lugloxes.
Every Luglox Location In Deep Jungle
Of all the locations on Zephyr Paradise, the most Lugloxes can be found in Deep Jungle, with 34 Lugloxes in total. Deep Jungle is the first area you’re teleported to after completing the first few missions in Blim City.
When exploring Deep Jungle, you’ll notice that there are some areas where Deep Jungle and Upper Valley overlap with each other. This means that a few Lugloxes you’ll find in Deep Jungle will count toward Upper Valley, which is confusing if you didn’t know about it beforehand.
There are two Lugloxes that count toward Upper Valley, they will not be shown in the following table.
Luglox Location |
Description |
---|---|
![]() |
After you’ve teleported into Deep Jungle you’ll see this large tree in front of you. At the base of the tree is a Luglox. You should be able to spot it quickly, since you teleport into the area directly facing the tree. |
![]() |
You can find this spot after jumping across the mushroom pads that lead to another waterfall. There’s a patch on the wall where you can use Gus’ special ability to climb up. |
![]() |
There’s a small corner here next to the edge of the water, just before crossing the mushroom pads. Look for the tree standing closest to the wall and the water. |
![]() |
Climb up the ledge next to the previous location, you’ll walk right into the Luglox sitting on top of it. |
![]() |
After crossing over to the opposite side using the fan-leaves, walk over to the other side of the large tree trunk and then turn around. You’ll see a fan-leaf covering something, all you have to do is shoot at the green sack on the side of the tree trunk. |
![]() |
Continuing on from there, you’ll find the next one on your right and after climbing up the small ledge here. |
![]() |
This small cave entrance can be spotted on the other side of the small canyon. Once you go inside you should go straight ahead until you’re standing in front of the hollowed-out stones. The Luglox is inside the large hole at the center. |
![]() |
There’s a shaft to the right of the previous location, you can use your Jetpack or Gus’ special ability to go through the hole. Once you’re up there you’ll be able to exit the cave and find a Luglox to your left against a small tree. |
![]() |
From the cave, head straight down to the river below you’ll find the next Luglox on the other side. |
![]() |
This tree trunk with fan leaves on it will be behind you as you’d look over you’re right shoulder. The Luglox can be spotted on the other side next to a small bush. |
![]() |
Follow the river to where it falls down into a larger body of water. The Luglox is in a small cut-out in the side of the canyon. If you don’t have any fuel upgrades for your Jetpack yet, it would be easier to use Gus’ special ability. |
![]() |
On the other side of the canyon you’ll find an area with a bunch of trees grouped to the left near the edge of the cliff. Sitting precisely on the cliff’s edge is a Luglox. |
![]() |
Near the Moplets’ village you’ll find another Luglox sitting on a river bank. The Moplets’ village should be close by on the right. |
![]() |
The Luglox here is on top of a ledge which can be reached by using either your Jetpack or by using Gus’ ability and swinging to it from a flying bug. There’s a big red gate behind the village, the ledge is to the right of it. |
![]() |
After entering the area behind the red gate you should go to the ledge near the water and cross it. Once you’re on the other side you’ll fly across to the platform on your right. Find the mushroom circle and use Kenny’s Globshot. |
![]() |
There’s a tunnel blocked by fan leaves just a few steps from the mushroom circle. There’s a small gap in the fan-leaf barrier through which you can shoot the green sack on the other side of it. The Luglox is at the back of the tunnel. |
![]() |
Once you exit the previous location’s tunnel and go left you’ll come across another fan-leaf barrier. The green sack you’re looking for is to the right and above it on the other side of the bridge. Once you’re inside you can simply exit using Kenny’s ability to flatten the platforms. |
![]() |
After rounding the corner back to the bridge you should cross over to the other side where the small gazebo is. Move past the gazebo on the right and walk straight to the back of the wall. You’ll notice the Luglox behind a lamppost and next to a dead tree. |
![]() |
As you walk away from the last Luglox, you’ll see this container underneath a tree in the middle of a clearing. It’s this particular container because of the giant fly-trap just behind it. |
![]() |
The fly-trap is beside a small river that flows into a shallow cave. Use your Jetpack to hover safely to the back of it, and you’ll find the Luglox. |
![]() |
Coming out of the cave, go to your right where a walkway goes to the higher ground. The Luglox will be sitting under the walk way. |
![]() |
Go back to the Moplets’ village through the red gate. There are some smaller buildings hanging in the trees next to the central building. You can find a Luglox on the walk way that connects to a separate building. |
![]() |
The Luglox here is close to the previous one, and can be seen next to a small building overlooking the river. |
![]() |
Go to these platforms you used to launch yourself across the water with. The Luglox you’re looking for is underneath the platform on the right-hand side. To get it on top you need to flip the platform in the direction of the platform on the other side. |
![]() |
To get here, you need to get to the other side and collapse the platform next to the zip line. Follow the trail until you see the waterfall on your left. There are two Lugloxes in this area. You can grab the first one by going to the left side. |
![]() |
The second one is on top of a cluster of mushrooms to the right, which you can also see from the entrance. You’ll need your Mag-boots to go past the entrance. |
![]() |
Hop on the zip-line again and follow it until you can see an open container on the left-hand side of the river. The Luglox you’ll find here is on top of the container. |
![]() |
After riding the zip-line you’ll end up at this base. There’s a building in the middle with vents on the bottom. Use Sweezy’s Time Bubble to slow down the blades and get to the Luglox inside. |
![]() |
On top of that same building is another Luglox. You can get to it by going the long way around with the platforms or just take a shortcut with your Jetpack. The Luglox is on the right-hand side next to the railing. |
![]() |
Behind that platform is a large pipe attached to the rock wall. Taking the zip line on that pipe will lead to the next building’s rooftop. The Luglox is going to be on your left next to a small ramp-like structure. |
![]() |
By entering the building via the second floor you’ll see a staircase that leads to the first floor where the vendor is. There are a bunch of crates and boxes under the staircase. You’ll find a Luglox there. |
![]() |
Exit through the front of the building and turn left. There are two transparent barriers keeping you from going through and opening the Luglox. To unlock the barriers you need to use Creature’s ability to work the mechanism. |
![]() |
As you cross the walkway back onto the jungle floor, head to your left until you can see the magnetic pathway on the rock wall. Use your Jetpack to get close enough and latch onto it with Knifey. Follow it until you see a ledge, there you’ll find a Luglox to your right. |
![]() |
Behind and below the ledge where you found the previous Luglox, is a large tunnel that’s been carved into the mountain. Inside you’ll notice support beams and framework on the left. The Luglox is in between these structures. |
Every Luglox Location In Upper Valley
Upper Valley is an area that you’ll only get to explore if you have the Jetpack unlocked, so be sure to progress some more before coming back to this area. Upper Valley has a total of 32 Lugloxes, which is almost as many as Deep Jungle. Keep in mind that some Lugloxes for Upper Valley can be found in Deep Jungle.
The Lugloxes that count for Upper Valley but are found in Deep Jungle, will be shown in the table below.
Luglox Locations |
Description |
---|---|
![]() |
The first Luglox you’ll find after teleporting to the area is behind the teleporter. You’ll need the Mag-boots and Jetpack to get to the top of the column. |
![]() |
These caves are next to the highway section you warped in earlier in the game. You can go through the red tunnel or Jetpack your way to the mushrooms closer to the waterfall. The Luglox is at the top. |
![]() |
Right under the previous Luglox’s spot is a smaller cave that leads to a fork. Go left and look for the large, hollowed out rock. You’ll find the Luglox inside it. |
![]() |
Moving ahead from the previous spot you’ll walk through an area of the cave that’s dimly lit by blue plants. The Luglox is at the mouth of the cave, close to the edge of the cliff. |
![]() |
For this one you have to go to the area’s warp disc portal and walk towards the edge. Against the side of the cliff is a Luglox that can be seen from the top. |
![]() |
If you look to the other side you’ll notice this wall with a large section that’s glowing red. You can use Gus’ ability to climb up and get the Luglox. |
![]() |
Head back to Deep Jungle and go through the red gate and all the to the back where you’ll see a drop-off. You’ll notice this container has a transparent barrier. You need Creature’s ability to unlock the mechanism on the side of the container. |
![]() |
This Luglox is also in Deep Jungle, and is just a few feet away from the Luglox in the container. This Luglox is behind the container that has its doors open to you. |
![]() |
This ramp and platform is in the same area, closer to the river’s side. The Luglox is at the end of the platform. |
![]() |
To the right, or upstream, you’ll notice two barrels and a small container that fell into the river. The container has two vents, which needs Sweezy’s ability to slow them down. The Luglox is inside the container. You’ll also need to crouch to get inside. |
![]() |
Once you’re out of the river you’ll notice two containers and a few small cages next to a pipeline. You can walk through the container to the left, and then you’ll find the Luglox just behind it. |
![]() |
Head back to the river and continue upstream to the small canyon. You’ll notice the rocky outcrop between the walls. On the other side of it is a Luglox. |
![]() |
There’ll be a gate as you turn around; you have to go through there. At first, you’ll see what looks like large door frames but are actually transparent shield walls. It’ll be on the right and on top of a few crates you’ll find a Luglox. |
![]() |
Go through the base and keep to the right until you see a small structure. As soon as you’re inside you’ll look down and see the elevator’s broken. Jump down onto the elevator and then again to the platform right under it. |
![]() |
Walk up the path from that platform to this area with the ramp leading up to a second floor. There is a door to the left, and you’ll find the Luglox inside that room. |
![]() |
Move on to the area where you’ll find a signpost showing where certain areas are. Go right to Administrative Services and into the tunnel. You can shoot the platform with Kenny’s ability and get to the Luglox next to the fence. |
![]() |
You can jump over the railing behind the signpost onto a small walkway. There’s a bunch of fan leaves blocking the rest of the tunnel. Shoot the green sack through the gaps, and then you’ll also find the Luglox. |
![]() |
As you exit the cave you’ll encounter a building. On the roof to the right is a Luglox. |
![]() |
On the other side of that building is this mining machine to the right. You’ll have to use your Jetpack here to maneuver to the top of the machine. |
![]() |
As you’re standing on top of that machine you can look down and slightly to the left. There’s an air vent in the wall and two fan leaves next to it. Beware of missing a step here. |
![]() |
Above you will be a small platform hanging in the middle of the mine. Don’t try to get to it from below since the Jetpack doesn’t go that high. |
![]() |
From that platform looking back at the mining machine, you’ll see small cavern. Go there and find the rock hanging lowest from the ceiling. There’s a Luglox inside of it. |
![]() |
To the right of that low-hanging rock are a fly-bug and an air vent. You have to go through that air vent to find a Luglox sitting on this small drilling machine. |
![]() |
As you exit the previous cavern, you’ll find these platforms to your right. There’s a Luglox at the back and below the platform. |
![]() |
There’s a small tunnel next to a drilling machine that’ll lead you to the area where this crane is. The crane is holding a container high above itself, so you’ll need your Jetpack to get high enough. |
![]() |
Swing over to the mushrooms and look for one that’s about medium height and more or less at the center of all the other mushrooms. The Luglox is on this particular one. |
![]() |
Now, move up to the tallest mushroom where the zip-line is. Latch onto the zip-line, jump again and then use your Jetpack for the extra height. |
![]() |
Head back down to the area that you previously couldn’t access. Make your way across the water to the wall where you can use Gus, then jump over to the other side where you’ll most likely be jumped by a handful of mites. You’ll find a Luglox just before the waterfall on the left. |
![]() |
You need to force the fly-bugs out from their nests using Creature’s ability. Remember that Creature’s ability can be charged so that it shoots in a straight line, making it easier to get the shot. Head to the top of the waterfall and you’ll find the Luglox next to the water. |
![]() |
Below the waterfalls, going deeper into Upper Valley you’ll notice a cave on the left with magnetic trails. Carefully hover over to it and go inside. You’ll see a part of the wall is covered in red dots, and then you’ll also find the Luglox. |
![]() |
There’s a button next to the previous Luglox that shoots a zip-line into the wall outside the small cave. To your left will be a large wall of fans that’ll keep you from getting across to the small building. To get the Luglox, you’ve got to switch every computer screen to show a Luglox. |
![]() |
For this last one, you’ll also need to head back to Deep Jungle. Once there, jump across the mushroom pads and head to the place with the red wall segment. To the left of it is going to be a small gazebo with the final Luglox you need for Upper Valley. |
Every Luglox Location In Jungle Clearing
Jungle Clearing is the final area you’ll get to explore in Zephyr Paradise and is also the area with the lowest number of Lugloxes, amounting to 28 in total. This area, fortunately, does not overlap with any of the other areas, so you’ll be able to find every Luglox here from start to finish.
For this last area, it’s best to have most of the Jetpack upgrades to make things go smoother.
Luglox Location |
Description |
---|---|
![]() |
One of the first places you’ll find a Luglox is underneath the bridge next to the waterfall. The bridge can be found behind a small village after entering it from an air vent near the teleporter. |
![]() |
This red container is a few steps away from the bridge on the other side. There’s a construction light and a box of glow sticks on either side of the Luglox that sits on top of the roof. |
![]() |
Turn back and cross the bridge, making your way through the small village but keeping to the right. You’ll see a ramp and a green sack with two fan leaves leading to higher ground. Reach the top of the cliff, and then you’ll find the Luglox. |
![]() |
You can see a small river below the cliff; hover down to the ground and follow the river upstream until you find the low-formed hole. Latch onto the magnetic path against the side, the Luglox should be to your right. |
![]() |
Head straight on from that Luglox until you’ve found the red button that shoots out a zip-line. Jump on to the ground to your left and move in the direction of the waterfall. A warp base will most likely spawn as you get closer, just go past it and stick to the wall on your left. A Luglox can be found on a small ledge on the side of the wall. |
![]() |
Turn around and head toward the smaller warp base that spawned in the water. Shoot down the platform, and then launch a disc into the red wall segment between the waterfalls. You’ll notice to the left of that wall segment is a magnetic path that leads up a rock column. You can find the Luglox at the top. |
![]() |
You should be able to spot this building on the other side of the waterfall. You can jump and hover to the left where you’ll be able to land safely. The Luglox is behind this building. |
![]() |
The next Luglox is on top of the rock column across the previous location. Use your Jetpack to hover there; it’s not too far, luckily. |
![]() |
You’ll find this container further up from the waterfall where you were a few seconds ago. There’s a pile of boxes and crates next to it on the left-hand side. The doors on the back of the container are open. |
![]() |
There’s a small balcony right under that large air vent on the side of the building. The Luglox is on that balcony. You’ll need to use Sweezy’s ability to enter the building on this side. |
![]() |
After getting inside there should be a door to your left on the second floor. You’ll enter a blue room and then exit through the door on the other side. To your immediate left will be a barrel, two crates, and a Luglox. |
![]() |
Head around back to this building, the platform is supported by several frameworks. The Luglox is on the right–hand side just behind the ramp. |
![]() |
After entering this boss room, head to the door in the right-hand corner at the back. It opens up to a balcony with an L-shaped platform and a smaller building. On top of that building’s roof is a Luglox. |
![]() |
From the teleporter, you’ll pass through two different buildings before finally getting to this crane holding a container. The Luglox is on top of the crane. |
![]() |
You’re able to see this column from the platform where you were. There’s a zip-line attached to the tree on your left; hop on and then hover toward the other column. You can force a flybug out from its nest to make things a little easier. |
![]() |
Jump onto the platform behind the column and head for the door. The glass pane in front of you looks into an experimentation room, you’ll find a Luglox on one of the lights hanging from the ceiling. |
![]() |
Walk through the building until you see this doorway; you should be able to spot a tree growing in the next room. The Luglox will be on your left, next to a spray-painted wall and on top of a crate. |
![]() |
Come back out of that room and go left where you’ll see a smaller window pane and a yellow mechanism. You’ll need Creature to open that for you. The Luglox will be on the table. |
![]() |
Next to that room is this air vent which leads to another room that has three Lugloxes inside of it. You’ll need Sweezy to help with the corridor filled with spinning blades. |
![]() |
Head outside to the elevators and jump on to the cliff closer to the waterfall on the other side. Once you are there, just make your way across the gaps until you find this Luglox sitting inside a fly-trap plant. |
![]() |
Jump back over to the ledge right before the Luglox and look down. The waterfall should be to your right and the building slightly to your left. There’s a mechanism on the back of the building that removes the barrier from the door, allowing you to grab the Luglox inside of it. |
![]() |
The building’s platforms are supported by pillars and are reasonably far off the ground. Underneath the platform is a Luglox sitting against the wall at the back. |
![]() |
There’s a zip-line on top of the platform that’ll take you to this small building with a boulder in front of it. Behind it, you’ll see a building has fallen off, next to it is a Luglox. |
![]() |
Continuing from there, you’ll come across this big arch with a wooden walkway built on top of it. Head down to the leg of the arch that’s reaching the river. The Luglox you’re looking for is right behind that leg. |
![]() |
Move to the left side, past another broken walkway, and you’ll see this big red building on the side of the canyon supported by a single pillar. The Luglox is on that platform next to a few crates. |
![]() |
Using the L-shaped platform, you should be able to launch yourself to the small ledge where the final Luglox is hiding. Your Jetpack will come in handy here. |
