Every game has its own version of a loot box, and they typically reward you with money, collectibles, and even experience points, in some cases. The Lugloxes in High On Life are no different, except in appearance, however.

In general, they aren’t that hard to find, although some of them do tend to be in places you wouldn’t expect them to be. It’s much more about how you’re going to get to them, since a lot of the Lugloxes need you to have particular suit upgrades and almost every other weapon you can think of.

What To Expect When Opening Lugloxes

Lugloxes are loot crates that can be found hidden throughout the game. Opening them rewards you with Pesos, collectible trading cards, gun mods, and suit upgrades.

They’re easy to spot because of their distinct features, which include several eyes on their sides, a butt, and two small tentacles on top of its head. These tentacles sway side to side and typically have a bright green glow – it can also be blue on other Lugloxes.

To open all the Lugloxes you’ll need to unlock every Gatlian, especially Knifey, and have the Jetpack and Mag-boots, too. To do this you simply need to play the game until the bounty for Nipulon is available, or you could complete the game entirely. After completing the game you can go anywhere you like and still be able to find the Lugloxes.

Every Luglox Location In Deep Jungle

A tall, green waterfall with purple trees and bushes around it. In the sky are two moons, one larger than the other.

Of all the locations on Zephyr Paradise, the most Lugloxes can be found in Deep Jungle, with 34 Lugloxes in total. Deep Jungle is the first area you’re teleported to after completing the first few missions in Blim City.

When exploring Deep Jungle, you’ll notice that there are some areas where Deep Jungle and Upper Valley overlap with each other. This means that a few Lugloxes you’ll find in Deep Jungle will count toward Upper Valley, which is confusing if you didn’t know about it beforehand.

There are two Lugloxes that count toward Upper Valley, they will not be shown in the following table.

    Luglox Location

    Description

A large tree surrounded by other smaller trees with a variety of flora in the surrounding area.

After you’ve teleported into Deep Jungle you’ll see this large tree in front of you. At the base of the tree is a Luglox. You should be able to spot it quickly, since you teleport into the area directly facing the tree.

From left to right - a construction light, a few crates, and a shipping container. Above it is a red glowing segment on the wall with an outcrop to the right.

You can find this spot after jumping across the mushroom pads that lead to another waterfall. There’s a patch on the wall where you can use Gus’ special ability to climb up.

At the edge of the water are two trees, one to the left and one to the right. Across the water is a small cliff.

There’s a small corner here next to the edge of the water, just before crossing the mushroom pads. Look for the tree standing closest to the wall and the water.

Standing on a cliff on the other side of the river. A large tree trunk is bridging the gap.

Climb up the ledge next to the previous location, you’ll walk right into the Luglox sitting on top of it.

A giant fan-leaf against the rocks with a large tree trunk to the right. The fan-leaf is hiding a Luglox.

After crossing over to the opposite side using the fan-leaves, walk over to the other side of the large tree trunk and then turn around. You’ll see a fan-leaf covering something, all you have to do is shoot at the green sack on the side of the tree trunk.

You're traversing a small canyon. There's another tree going across the gap. In front of you is a small ledge. A Luglox sits to the right, next to some bushes.

Continuing on from there, you’ll find the next one on your right and after climbing up the small ledge here.

There's a cliff on the other side of the canyon. A fly bug is hovering to your left. Inside there's hollowed out rocks with holes in them.

This small cave entrance can be spotted on the other side of the small canyon. Once you go inside you should go straight ahead until you’re standing in front of the hollowed-out stones. The Luglox is inside the large hole at the center.

Inside the small cave is a chimney, the area around it glows red indicating the use for a particular Gatlian.

There’s a shaft to the right of the previous location, you can use your Jetpack or Gus’ special ability to go through the hole. Once you’re up there you’ll be able to exit the cave and find a Luglox to your left against a small tree.

A small river leading going from left to right. A Luglox sits on the bank on the opposite side.

From the cave, head straight down to the river below you’ll find the next Luglox on the other side.

A large tree trunk stretches across the gap above the river. On the other side is a red segment of the wall. The Luglox is a little to the right beside a small bush.

This tree trunk with fan leaves on it will be behind you as you’d look over you’re right shoulder. The Luglox can be spotted on the other side next to a small bush.

A cliff face in front of you, there's a red segment of the rock wall to the right of the Luglox's spot.

Follow the river to where it falls down into a larger body of water. The Luglox is in a small cut-out in the side of the canyon. If you don’t have any fuel upgrades for your Jetpack yet, it would be easier to use Gus’ special ability.

There's a short line of trees near the edge of a cliff. A Luglox is overlooking the canyon.

On the other side of the canyon you’ll find an area with a bunch of trees grouped to the left near the edge of the cliff. Sitting precisely on the cliff’s edge is a Luglox.

A small warp base to the left, the Moplets' village to the right. A Luglox sits on the rocks near the water.

Near the Moplets’ village you’ll find another Luglox sitting on a river bank. The Moplets’ village should be close by on the right.

The Moplet houses hanging from tall trees, with some smaller buildings on the jungle floor. A Luglox at the top of a ledge with two torches on either side of it.

The Luglox here is on top of a ledge which can be reached by using either your Jetpack or by using Gus’ ability and swinging to it from a flying bug. There’s a big red gate behind the village, the ledge is to the right of it.

A cliff on the other side that has a Luglox. The Luglox is below ground with its tentacles visible.

After entering the area behind the red gate you should go to the ledge near the water and cross it. Once you’re on the other side you’ll fly across to the platform on your right. Find the mushroom circle and use Kenny’s Globshot.

Several fan-leaves blocking an entrance into a small cavern. A yellow Luglox can be found at the back of this cavern.

There’s a tunnel blocked by fan leaves just a few steps from the mushroom circle. There’s a small gap in the fan-leaf barrier through which you can shoot the green sack on the other side of it. The Luglox is at the back of the tunnel.

    Fan-leaves covering a small cave that's hiding a Luglox.

Once you exit the previous location’s tunnel and go left you’ll come across another fan-leaf barrier. The green sack you’re looking for is to the right and above it on the other side of the bridge. Once you’re inside you can simply exit using Kenny’s ability to flatten the platforms.

A small bridge with a gazebo on the other side of it. The Luglox is to the right against the wall further down.

After rounding the corner back to the bridge you should cross over to the other side where the small gazebo is. Move past the gazebo on the right and walk straight to the back of the wall. You’ll notice the Luglox behind a lamppost and next to a dead tree.

There's a large fly-trap to the left of a used container. The container is under a tree and has a Luglox inside it.

As you walk away from the last Luglox, you’ll see this container underneath a tree in the middle of a clearing. It’s this particular container because of the giant fly-trap just behind it.

A small waterfall next to a cave entrance. A Luglox sitting inside a cave.

The fly-trap is beside a small river that flows into a shallow cave. Use your Jetpack to hover safely to the back of it, and you’ll find the Luglox.

A walkway leading up to the ledge above it. A Luglox underneath the walkway.

Coming out of the cave, go to your right where a walkway goes to the higher ground. The Luglox will be sitting under the walk way.

Moplet houses hanging from trees with a wooden walkway connecting to several of them. A Luglox sits in front of a separate, smaller home on the walkway.

Go back to the Moplets’ village through the red gate. There are some smaller buildings hanging in the trees next to the central building. You can find a Luglox on the walk way that connects to a separate building.

A view from the top of the central building in the Moplet Village. The Luglox can be found next to a small house overlooking the river.

The Luglox here is close to the previous one, and can be seen next to a small building overlooking the river.

Two platforms on a dock with another one across the water. A Luglox sits on the edge of the platform on the right.

Go to these platforms you used to launch yourself across the water with. The Luglox you’re looking for is underneath the platform on the right-hand side. To get it on top you need to flip the platform in the direction of the platform on the other side.

Behind the waterfall is a G3 warp base. A Luglox can be seen in front of the waterfall next to the base.

To get here, you need to get to the other side and collapse the platform next to the zip line. Follow the trail until you see the waterfall on your left. There are two Lugloxes in this area. You can grab the first one by going to the left side.

There's a small group of over-sized mushrooms growing close to the water's edge. A Luglox is sitting on top of the tallest one.

The second one is on top of a cluster of mushrooms to the right, which you can also see from the entrance. You’ll need your Mag-boots to go past the entrance.

An empty container at the top of a ledge above the river. A Luglox sits on top of the container.

Hop on the zip-line again and follow it until you can see an open container on the left-hand side of the river. The Luglox you’ll find here is on top of the container.

This building stands in the water, with an air vent at its lower half. The Luglox can be found inside the vent.

After riding the zip-line you’ll end up at this base. There’s a building in the middle with vents on the bottom. Use Sweezy’s Time Bubble to slow down the blades and get to the Luglox inside.

A platform overlooking the jungle on the other side of the river. A Luglox sits on the platform next to the railing.

On top of that same building is another Luglox. You can get to it by going the long way around with the platforms or just take a shortcut with your Jetpack. The Luglox is on the right-hand side next to the railing.

A building situated against the rock wall beside a tall waterfall. A Luglox is under a large pipe next to a small ramp.

Behind that platform is a large pipe attached to the rock wall. Taking the zip line on that pipe will lead to the next building’s rooftop. The Luglox is going to be on your left next to a small ramp-like structure.

A staircase that leads down to a vendor. A Luglox next to a few cages underneath the staircase.

By entering the building via the second floor you’ll see a staircase that leads to the first floor where the vendor is. There are a bunch of crates and boxes under the staircase. You’ll find a Luglox there.

Transparent barriers on the floor of a walkway with a special mechanism to open it. A Luglox sitting inside the walkway where the transparent barrier was active.

Exit through the front of the building and turn left. There are two transparent barriers keeping you from going through and opening the Luglox. To unlock the barriers you need to use Creature’s ability to work the mechanism.

A magnetic path on the rock wall that leads to a ledge. A Luglox next to a small plant on top of a ledge.

As you cross the walkway back onto the jungle floor, head to your left until you can see the magnetic pathway on the rock wall. Use your Jetpack to get close enough and latch onto it with Knifey. Follow it until you see a ledge, there you’ll find a Luglox to your right.

A Luglox seated underneath support frames inside a tunnel.

Behind and below the ledge where you found the previous Luglox, is a large tunnel that’s been carved into the mountain. Inside you’ll notice support beams and framework on the left. The Luglox is in between these structures.

Every Luglox Location In Upper Valley

Giant mushrooms in a river canyon.

Upper Valley is an area that you’ll only get to explore if you have the Jetpack unlocked, so be sure to progress some more before coming back to this area. Upper Valley has a total of 32 Lugloxes, which is almost as many as Deep Jungle. Keep in mind that some Lugloxes for Upper Valley can be found in Deep Jungle.

The Lugloxes that count for Upper Valley but are found in Deep Jungle, will be shown in the table below.

    Luglox Locations

    Description

This mountain has a magnetic path going up to the peak. A Luglox can be found on top of it.

The first Luglox you’ll find after teleporting to the area is behind the teleporter. You’ll need the Mag-boots and Jetpack to get to the top of the column.

From left to right - a cave covered with shades of red, a waterfall at the back of a cavern, a Luglox at the top of the waterfall.

These caves are next to the highway section you warped in earlier in the game. You can go through the red tunnel or Jetpack your way to the mushrooms closer to the waterfall. The Luglox is at the top.

A small cave with stones covered in holes. A Luglox inside a large hollowed stone.

Right under the previous Luglox’s spot is a smaller cave that leads to a fork. Go left and look for the large, hollowed out rock. You’ll find the Luglox inside it.

A small cave dimly lit by blue glowing plants. A Luglox at the cave's exit overlooking the valley.

Moving ahead from the previous spot you’ll walk through an area of the cave that’s dimly lit by blue plants. The Luglox is at the mouth of the cave, close to the edge of the cliff.

On top of a mushroom looking at the cliff with trees and mountains in the distance. A Luglox on a small ledge.

For this one you have to go to the area’s warp disc portal and walk towards the edge. Against the side of the cliff is a Luglox that can be seen from the top.

A large wall is covered in the glowing red layer, with a small part of a bridge in view to the left. A Luglox sits in the corner on top of the wall.

If you look to the other side you’ll notice this wall with a large section that’s glowing red. You can use Gus’ ability to climb up and get the Luglox.

A large, red gate with its doors open. A container that's locked by a mechanism.

Head back to Deep Jungle and go through the red gate and all the to the back where you’ll see a drop-off. You’ll notice this container has a transparent barrier. You need Creature’s ability to unlock the mechanism on the side of the container.

Two containers sitting close to each other creating a small gap in the middle. A Luglox behind one of the containers.

This Luglox is also in Deep Jungle, and is just a few feet away from the Luglox in the container. This Luglox is behind the container that has its doors open to you.

A small bridge leading to a platform overlooking the river. A Luglox at the end of the platform, on the edge of the river bank.

This ramp and platform is in the same area, closer to the river’s side. The Luglox is at the end of the platform.

A container and some barrels lying in the river. The container has vents on either side, and a Luglox within.

To the right, or upstream, you’ll notice two barrels and a small container that fell into the river. The container has two vents, which needs Sweezy’s ability to slow them down. The Luglox is inside the container. You’ll also need to crouch to get inside.

A couple of small containers standing around, next to a pipe relay system of sorts. The Luglox can be found on the other side of the left container, facing the river.

Once you’re out of the river you’ll notice two containers and a few small cages next to a pipeline. You can walk through the container to the left, and then you’ll find the Luglox just behind it.

There's a small canyon where the river runs through. To the right is a rock outcrop with a Luglox on the other side of it.

Head back to the river and continue upstream to the small canyon. You’ll notice the rocky outcrop between the walls. On the other side of it is a Luglox.

An area with two frames that emit a bulletproof shield. A Luglox can be found on top of a few crates in the back.

There’ll be a gate as you turn around; you have to go through there. At first, you’ll see what looks like large door frames but are actually transparent shield walls. It’ll be on the right and on top of a few crates you’ll find a Luglox.

A small building that's supposed to be an elevator shaft. A broken elevator down below. A Luglox on a few crates.

Go through the base and keep to the right until you see a small structure. As soon as you’re inside you’ll look down and see the elevator’s broken. Jump down onto the elevator and then again to the platform right under it.

From left to right: A small rock path leading up to another floor. There's a walkway connecting to the second floor. A Luglox inside a room on the second floor.

Walk up the path from that platform to this area with the ramp leading up to a second floor. There is a door to the left, and you’ll find the Luglox inside that room.

A sign-post, and a tunnel to the right. Inside the tunnel is a platform that needs to be flattened. A Luglox standing against the fence.

Move on to the area where you’ll find a signpost showing where certain areas are. Go right to Administrative Services and into the tunnel. You can shoot the platform with Kenny’s ability and get to the Luglox next to the fence.

The walk way and a sign post saying

You can jump over the railing behind the signpost onto a small walkway. There’s a bunch of fan leaves blocking the rest of the tunnel. Shoot the green sack through the gaps, and then you’ll also find the Luglox.

Looking at the side of a building. There are three pipes leading to the roof. On top of the roof is a Luglox.

As you exit the cave you’ll encounter a building. On the roof to the right is a Luglox.

At the end of the tunnel is a large machine that resembles a bulldozer. On top of the machine is a Luglox.

On the other side of that building is this mining machine to the right. You’ll have to use your Jetpack here to maneuver to the top of the machine.

There's a small air vent lower in the mine and next to two fan-leaves. Inside the air vent is a Luglox.

As you’re standing on top of that machine you can look down and slightly to the left. There’s an air vent in the wall and two fan leaves next to it. Beware of missing a step here.

Hanging in the middle of the mine is a platform loaded with crates. On two of the crates is a Luglox.

Above you will be a small platform hanging in the middle of the mine. Don’t try to get to it from below since the Jetpack doesn’t go that high.

It's a small cavern with a few smaller mining equipment lying around. There's a hollowed-out stone protruding from the ceiling. Inside the stone is a Luglox.

From that platform looking back at the mining machine, you’ll see small cavern. Go there and find the rock hanging lowest from the ceiling. There’s a Luglox inside of it.

A vent in the ceiling of the cavern, with a flying bug in front of it. A Luglox sitting on top of some drilling machine.

To the right of that low-hanging rock are a fly-bug and an air vent. You have to go through that air vent to find a Luglox sitting on this small drilling machine.

Some platforms supported by columns above the water. Underneath the platform is a Luglox sitting on a small rock.

As you exit the previous cavern, you’ll find these platforms to your right. There’s a Luglox at the back and below the platform.

There's a crane holding a container over the edge of a cliff. Inside the container is a Luglox.

There’s a small tunnel next to a drilling machine that’ll lead you to the area where this crane is. The crane is holding a container high above itself, so you’ll need your Jetpack to get high enough.

A valley occupied by large mushrooms coming out of the water. A Luglox can be found on one of the lower mushrooms.

Swing over to the mushrooms and look for one that’s about medium height and more or less at the center of all the other mushrooms. The Luglox is on this particular one.

The tallest mushroom in the canyon. A Luglox on top of the tallest mushroom.

Now, move up to the tallest mushroom where the zip-line is. Latch onto the zip-line, jump again and then use your Jetpack for the extra height.

A red wall segment above the river. On the other side is more ground with a purple tree. An opened Luglox behind the waterfalls.

Head back down to the area that you previously couldn’t access. Make your way across the water to the wall where you can use Gus, then jump over to the other side where you’ll most likely be jumped by a handful of mites. You’ll find a Luglox just before the waterfall on the left.

Two waterfalls pouring down from a higher level. A Luglox standing on the other side of a waterfall.

You need to force the fly-bugs out from their nests using Creature’s ability. Remember that Creature’s ability can be charged so that it shoots in a straight line, making it easier to get the shot. Head to the top of the waterfall and you’ll find the Luglox next to the water.

There's a cave entrance in the water with magnetic trails on either side. A Luglox sitting on a few rocks against a red dotted wall.

Below the waterfalls, going deeper into Upper Valley you’ll notice a cave on the left with magnetic trails. Carefully hover over to it and go inside. You’ll see a part of the wall is covered in red dots, and then you’ll also find the Luglox.

An office building with a red door. A computer screen displaying a Luglox. A Luglox behind a secret door.

There’s a button next to the previous Luglox that shoots a zip-line into the wall outside the small cave. To your left will be a large wall of fans that’ll keep you from getting across to the small building. To get the Luglox, you’ve got to switch every computer screen to show a Luglox.

A small tent next to a standing light. A Luglox can be found under the tent.

For this last one, you’ll also need to head back to Deep Jungle. Once there, jump across the mushroom pads and head to the place with the red wall segment. To the left of it is going to be a small gazebo with the final Luglox you need for Upper Valley.

Every Luglox Location In Jungle Clearing

Looking out onto a valley with purple trees growing densely toward the horizon.

Jungle Clearing is the final area you’ll get to explore in Zephyr Paradise and is also the area with the lowest number of Lugloxes, amounting to 28 in total. This area, fortunately, does not overlap with any of the other areas, so you’ll be able to find every Luglox here from start to finish.

For this last area, it’s best to have most of the Jetpack upgrades to make things go smoother.

    Luglox Location

    Description

A bridge stretches across a river to the ground on the other side where a container sits. A Luglox found underneath the bridge.

One of the first places you’ll find a Luglox is underneath the bridge next to the waterfall. The bridge can be found behind a small village after entering it from an air vent near the teleporter.

Turn back and cross the bridge, making your way through the small village but keeping to the right. You’ll see a ramp and a green sack with two fan leaves leading to higher ground. Reach the top of the cliff, and then you’ll find the Luglox.

There's a cave entrance that's almost too low to hover through, hanging over the water. A Luglox surrounded by blue moss and flowers.

You can see a small river below the cliff; hover down to the ground and follow the river upstream until you find the low-formed hole. Latch onto the magnetic path against the side, the Luglox should be to your right.

Looking out on to the river canyon, there's a warp base on top of the waterfall. A Luglox sitting on a narrow ledge against the wall.

Head straight on from that Luglox until you’ve found the red button that shoots out a zip-line. Jump on to the ground to your left and move in the direction of the waterfall. A warp base will most likely spawn as you get closer, just go past it and stick to the wall on your left. A Luglox can be found on a small ledge on the side of the wall.

A narrow space in the rocks next to the three waterfalls. A Luglox at the top of the wall.

Turn around and head toward the smaller warp base that spawned in the water. Shoot down the platform, and then launch a disc into the red wall segment between the waterfalls. You’ll notice to the left of that wall segment is a magnetic path that leads up a rock column. You can find the Luglox at the top.

A small house with three smaller compartments above the waterfall. A Luglox sits in front of the house's door.

You should be able to spot this building on the other side of the waterfall. You can jump and hover to the left where you’ll be able to land safely. The Luglox is behind this building.

A rock column covered by trees. A Luglox sitting on the column's highest point.

The next Luglox is on top of the rock column across the previous location. Use your Jetpack to hover there; it’s not too far, luckily.

An old grey container, with crates and other pieces of equipment stacked next to it. A Luglox inside the old container.

You’ll find this container further up from the waterfall where you were a few seconds ago. There’s a pile of boxes and crates next to it on the left-hand side. The doors on the back of the container are open.

There's a large air vent on the side of a building with a balcony under it. A Luglox sits on the balcony.

There’s a small balcony right under that large air vent on the side of the building. The Luglox is on that balcony. You’ll need to use Sweezy’s ability to enter the building on this side.

There's a door immediately to the left inside the building. A room with a blue path leading to another door. A Luglox behind a barrel and two crates.

After getting inside there should be a door to your left on the second floor. You’ll enter a blue room and then exit through the door on the other side. To your immediate left will be a barrel, two crates, and a Luglox.

A building with a large platform supported by framework above pools of water. A Luglox in the corner next to a supporting frame.

After entering this boss room, head to the door in the right-hand corner at the back. It opens up to a balcony with an L-shaped platform and a smaller building. On top of that building’s roof is a Luglox.

A crane-like machine holding up an empty container. A Luglox on top of the crane machine.

From the teleporter, you’ll pass through two different buildings before finally getting to this crane holding a container. The Luglox is on top of the crane.

A rock column across the water next to the white wall. A Luglox sits under the tree on the column.

You’re able to see this column from the platform where you were. There’s a zip-line attached to the tree on your left; hop on and then hover toward the other column. You can force a flybug out from its nest to make things a little easier.

A large window pane separates the larger room from a smaller experimenting area. A Luglox on top of a hanging light.

Jump onto the platform behind the column and head for the door. The glass pane in front of you looks into an experimentation room, you’ll find a Luglox on one of the lights hanging from the ceiling.

The room is filled with mist, you can almost make out the shape of a tree in the other room. A Luglox beside a wall with graffiti on it.

Walk through the building until you see this doorway; you should be able to spot a tree growing in the next room. The Luglox will be on your left, next to a spray-painted wall and on top of a crate.

A small window peaking into another room, a desk and a mechanism are next to it. A Luglox sitting on top of an operation table.

Come back out of that room and go left where you’ll see a smaller window pane and a yellow mechanism. You’ll need Creature to open that for you. The Luglox will be on the table.

An air vent high up on the wall. A Luglox on a tall stack of crates.

Next to that room is this air vent which leads to another room that has three Lugloxes inside of it. You’ll need Sweezy to help with the corridor filled with spinning blades.

Rock columns splitting the large waterfall into three separate streams. A Luglox inside of a large fly-trap.

Head outside to the elevators and jump on to the cliff closer to the waterfall on the other side. Once you are there, just make your way across the gaps until you find this Luglox sitting inside a fly-trap plant.

A top-down view of a building near the waterfall. An open door with two lights above its frame. A Luglox on top of a few crates.

Jump back over to the ledge right before the Luglox and look down. The waterfall should be to your right and the building slightly to your left. There’s a mechanism on the back of the building that removes the barrier from the door, allowing you to grab the Luglox inside of it.

A large platform that sits high above the jungle floor. A Luglox sitting against the wall next to pink bush.
