There is an overwhelming amount of content in Stardew Valley, but it is possible to get 100% completion, or perfection, as it’s referred to in the game. With the 1.5 update, we were given a way to track our progress, as well as some rewards for reaching that top milestone. In this guide, we are going to go over everything you need to do to achieve 100% perfection.
First, let’s take a look at how to access the perfection tracker. Remember, this guide is for late-game content, so if you have yet to finish the Community Center, this will contain spoilers!
Updated January 21, 2022 by Ashely Claudino: Perfection can be a very difficult thing to achieve, especially in Stardew Valley. The game is incredibly extensive and doing some of the tasks required for 100% perfection can take some time and some grinding. But, it’s, of course, not mandatory and if you feel like you’re up for the challenge, it’s definitely worth trying. We’ve updated this article to include information on how the perfection checklist differs in multiplayer, so take a look if you’re interested in completing this with an extra pair of hands.
How To Track Perfection
Prior to unlocking the Walnut Room on Ginger Island, you will not be able to track your perfection progress in-game, unless you keep your own notes. To unlock the Walnut Room, you will need to collect at least 100 golden walnuts. These can be found scattered around the island. Once you have collected 100 golden walnuts, head to the west side of the island. Above Birdie’s Shack, you will find a purple door with a walnut on it. This is Qi’s Walnut Room. After you enter, you will be able to take on special orders, see some items for exchange, and view your perfection tracker. The tracker will list all of the following perfection goals, along with a total completion percentage. Let’s go over everything you need for 100% completion.
Ship All Produce And Foraged Items
As expected, you will need to ship every item. This includes all growable crops and foraged goods. Below, you can find a list of all items that need to be shipped to complete this step.
Season | Crops | Foraged Items |
---|---|---|
Spring |
|
|
Summer |

Fall |

Winter |

Build All Four Obelisks
After completing The Goblin Problem quest, you will unlock the Wizard’s buildings. These are themed buildings that you can add to your farm from the Wizard’s Magic Book in his Tower. For 100% completion, you will need to build all four obelisks. Each obelisk will transport you to a different area. Let’s take a quick look at all the obelisks below, and what you need to craft them.
Obelisk | Teleports To | Materials Required |
---|---|---|
Earth Obelisk | Mountains |
|
Water Obelisk | Beach |
|
Desert Obelisk | Calico Desert |
|
Island Obelisk | Ginger Island |
|
Build The Gold Clock
The Gold Clock is another Wizard building unlocked from The Goblin Problem quest. This clock costs an outstanding 10,000,000g, making it the most expensive item in the game. With a Gold Clock, debris will not appear on your farm. Additionally, fences will no longer decay over time.
Complete All Monster Slaying Goals
The Adventurer’s Guild is to the east of the entrance of The Mines. The Guild will be available every day from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Here, you will be able to take part in a variety of monster eradication goals. These goals will be listed to the left of the fireplace. For 100% completion, you will need to complete all of these goals, which are listed below.
Monsters To Slay |
---|
1000 Slimes (excluding big slimes) |
150 Void Spirits |
200 Bats |
50 Skeletons |
125 Cave Insects |
30 Duggies |
500 Dust Sprites |
60 Rock Crabs |
100 Mummies |
50 Pepper Rex |
250 Serpents |
150 Magma Sprites |
Each of these goals will have separate rewards, but there is no large reward for completing them all. After an individual goal has been completed, talk to the old man sitting in the rocking chair. This is Gil, and he will reward you for each goal complete.
Reach Maximum Friendship With Everyone
To achieve perfection, you will need to maximize your friendship with every NPC in Stardew Valley. This means that you will need eight friendship hearts for dateable residents, and ten friendship hearts for everyone else. Listed below, you will find every character in the game that you need to maximize your friendship with.
Bachelors | Bachelorettes | Not Available for Marriage |
---|---|---|
|
|
|
You will not need to be married to complete this. If you are married though, you will need to fill all available hearts. Additionally, the friendship between you and your children will not be factored into this. To maximize friendship quickly, give everyone a gift twice a week, and be sure to give them a birthday gift each year. We have tips for earning maximum friendship with everyone, as well as a guide to all universal loves.
Maximize All Skills
As you progress through the game, you will gain higher skill levels. This will occur naturally through gameplay. Maximizing all skills is required for perfection, but you will not have to consciously think about it as much as other requirements. Overall, just make sure to mine, forage, fish, slay monsters, and harvest crops on a weekly basis. Eventually, all of your skills will reach level 10.
Find Every Stardrop
There are seven Stardrops in the game, and you need to get all of them. Each Stardrop will boost your energy by 34. This means that, with all seven Stardrops, your maximum energy will be 508. To find the location of each Stardrop, check out this guide.
Cook Every Recipe
There are 80 recipes in the game, and you need to cook all of them. Recipes can be learned in a few different ways. First, you can watch The Queen of Sauce every Sunday for a chance to learn a new recipe. If you missed an episode, you can catch the rerun of a Sunday episode the following Wednesday. Recipes can also be learned from villagers. As you increase your friendship with the villagers, they may send you various recipes in the mail. Since reaching maximum friendship with villagers is a requirement for perfection, this is a handy way to learn recipes. Some recipes are available for purchase as well. Check the Stardrop Saloon to learn any available recipes. For more information on the specifics of finding every recipe, check out this guide.
Craft All Items
In addition to cooking every dish, you will need to craft every item. These items can be made from the crafting panel of the menu. There are a few different ways to obtain new crafting recipes, so let’s take a look at them.
- Leveling Up Skills
- Purchasing from Robin, Krobus, Dwarf, and Mr. Qi
- Purchasing from Special Events
- Completing Special Orders
Overall, there are 130 recipes. This is a lot, but you don’t need to use or display every item, just make them.
Catch All Fish
Fishing can be quite difficult, but you will need to catch all fish in the game for 100% completion. This includes all common fish, as well as the five Legendary fish. You can check out this guide on fishing for more information. Every season, different fish will be available in various locations. Below, you can find a complete list of every fish in the game.
Availability | Fish Name |
---|---|
All Seasons |
|
Spring |
|
Summer |
|
Fall |
|
Winter |
|
Night Market |
|
Crab Pot |

Find All Golden Walnuts
Lastly, you will need to find all golden walnuts. In total, there are 130 that can be found on Ginger Island. If you need help finding golden walnuts, be sure to check out our guide. As mentioned earlier, you will need 100 golden walnuts to unlock Qi’s Walnut Room. This means that once you unlock the room, you will need 30 more walnuts.
Rewards For 100% Completion
After finishing all of these requirements, you have achieved 100% perfection! When you do this, a few things will happen. The morning after Perfection, you receive the following message: “You feel it in your heart: somewhere, somehow… Grandpa is beaming with pride. The legacy of (your farm’s name) is eternal.” Additionally, you will unlock the Summit and the Statue of True Perfection. Above, you can see a player sitting at the edge of the Summit. This is an area that you can access on the left side of the Railroad area. If you are married, your spouse will be here the first time you visit. If you aren’t married, either Mayor Lewis or Morris will appear (depending on which route you choose for the Community Center). Credits will show almost all of the villagers, animals, fish, and monsters, and you will be congratulated on your accomplishment. Overall, it’s a feel-good moment that will leave you smiling.
The Statue of True Perfection is a small statue made of pure Iridium that will give you one Prismatic Shard a day. It is shaped like a purple bear holding a heart. With 100% Perfection, you will also unlock golden chickens. These special chickens lay golden eggs that have a base price of 500g. To get your first golden egg, you can purchase one from Marnie for 100,000g or for 100 Qi Gems in the Walnut Room. Alternatively, the witch may fly over your farm and place one in your coop. Placing a golden egg in a mayonnaise machine will produce three gold quality mayonnaise. Finally, you will be able to obtain the ??? hat. This is a mask-type hat that is shaped like ConcernedApe’s face. To get this hat, visit the Volcano Caldera and interact with the monkey. Now, you have officially beat the game! You can keep playing to expand your farm, or start over on a different farm layout.
Multiplayer
Perfect works a bit differently in multiplayer. Well, the perfection tracker at least. Since there is more than one person working towards this end goal, the perfection tracker still tracks perfection but not in the same way. If you check the tracker, it’ll display the highest number in a certain category according to the player that is closest to finishing that category. This means that not all players have to complete each category. So, the game doesn’t sum the player’s scores, therefore you can’t cook half of the recipes available and have another player cook the other half to complete the cooking task. The only exception to this is the Golden Walnuts task on Ginger Island since they’re a shared item for all players. Another thing that’s different in multiplayer is that it’s necessary to craft one extra item to complete the crafting task. The player that’s finishing the crafting task also has to craft the Wedding Ring – a ring that allows a player to propose to another player. This recipe is unattainable in the single player game mode so it’s not required for this category.
