Danganronpa 2 Goodbye Despair: Chapter Four Trial Walkthrough

In Chapter Four of Danganronpa 2, the whole class was locked in a Funhouse with no food. They were only be to released if someone was killed. So of course, a murder occurred. Nekomaru has been found dead. Thus the fourth trial begins.

Pay attention, as the killer used a ton of tricks. They took advantage of both the structure of the Funhouse itself and the fact that Nekomaru was a robot at the time of the murder.

Trial Mechanics For Nekomaru’s Case

Non-Stop Debate: Move the trial along by shooting a Truth Bullet at a highlighted statement. Find a bullet that builds on or utterly disproves the highlighted statement. Remember, you can also absorb statements and shoot them at others. Sometimes you will need to clear up white noise to get a proper shot at statements.

Multiple Choice: Select the right answer to a question.

Rebuttal Showdown: Slice up their words as a character argues against you. Keep an eye out for a weak statement and slash it with contradicting evidence.

Spot Selection: Click on the right place on a picture to answer a “where” question.

Logic Drive: Complete an obstacle course within a time limit. As you proceed, surf towards the correct answers to questions. Picking a wrong answer will slow you down.

Hangman’s Gambit: Spell out a word that answers a question. You will need to spell it out in order.

Identify a Person: Select a character to answer a “who” question.

Panic Talk Action: This is a rhythm game. Shoot down statements to the beat of the music. At the end, press buttons in the right order to spell out evidence that destroys the opposing characters’ argument.

Closing Argument: Make a comic that summarizes how the killing occurred. Put the right panels in the right order. Some panels may be fake and should be ignored.

• This time you are against Kazuichi. Slice up his statements and shoot “still been in sleep mode” with Clock’s Alarm.

Closing Argument For Nekomaru’s Case

Time to sum up the complicated array of events in a comic. Place the right panels in order of what happened.

• The killer’s first trick was to destroy the elevator.
• After that, they tampered with the clocks to be behind by two hours. They set the Strawberry lounge clock alarm to go off at 5:30am.
• In the morning, Nekomaru went to the Grape Tower. Fuyuhiko witnessed this while the clocks said 5am. In reality, though, it was 7am and Nekomaru knew this from his personal clock. He believed he was going to Monokuma Tai Chi.
• Due to the broken elevator, Nekomaru had to go to the Strawberry Tower instead of Grape.
• The killer was there waiting for him, and their hamsters pressed his goodnight switch.
• The killer set his internal alarm to 7:30am and wrapped him in wire.
• They tied the other end to a doorknob.
• While leaving, the killer destroyed the button to Strawberry Hall so students could not enter the Strawberry Tower.
• The killer exited to the Grape House using the secret octagonal passageway.
• Then they pressed the button to open the door to the tower which caused the tower floor to descend. This left Nekomaru’s body dangling in the air, held only by wire.
• The killer went to the Grape Tower to leave false evidence, a hammer.
• Then they wrapped a chain around the back door.

Eventually, the alarm clocks rang and Nekomaru woke up. His struggle made the doorknob break and he fell from the fourth to the first floor and died on impact. Everyone could hear the crash.

And the killer was…Gundam Tanaka.
