A new week in Destiny 2 means a new batch of Seasonal Challenges to complete. The fourth set of Seasonal Challenges for Season of Defiance are fairly easy to complete, requiring you to play Nightfalls, PvP playlists, and defeat enemies with certain weapons. Some of this week’s challenges give tons of XP and Bright Dust, so now is a great time to level your Season Pass.
This week, you’ll need to earn the Final Warning Sidearm, get kills in Momentum Control, complete Nightfalls, and calibrate long-range weapons. This guide will cover all nine Seasonal Challenges this week, the rewards you can expect, and provide some tips on how to complete each of them as quickly as possible.
All That Matters
All That Matters: Complete Week 4 of the “We Stand Unbroken” quest.
Rewards
- War Table Upgrade
- 25,000 XP
There’s nothing out of the ordinary here. Head to the H.E.L.M. and complete all quest steps provided in the “We Stand Unbroken” quest, the seasonal questline for Season of Defiance.

Cunning Liberator
Cunning Liberator: Defeat combatants in the Defiant Battlegrounds playlist using Energy weapons. Earn bonus progress if they also deal Void or Arc damage.
Rewards
- War Table Upgrade
- 12,500 XP
This challenge requires you to defeat 75 enemies in the Defiant Battlegrounds playlist with Energy weapons. Energy weapons refer to any guns in your second weapon slot. We recommend equipping a good Primary weapon like Funnelweb, the IKELOS SMG, or Trinity Ghoul to get this done quickly.

Focused Defiance
Focused Defiance: Decode or focus Defiant Engrams at the War Table during Season of Defiance.
Rewards
- War Table Upgrade
- 12,500 XP
This challenge is retroactive.
Focused Defiance requires you to focus ten Defiant Engrams at the H.E.L.M.’s War Table. You must focus the Engrams into specific weapons or armor for this to count. The good news is that Umbral Focusing resources are no longer a thing, so focusing these Engrams should only cost you some Legendary Shards and Glimmer.
As for what to focus, we recommend armor pieces. With a stat focusing mod on your Ghost Shell, you can force these Engrams to drop armor with stats you need. We cover this in more detail in our high-stat armor guide.

Strandweaver
Strandweaver: Complete “The Final Strand” quest. Also, rapidly defeat combatants throughout Neomuna. Bonus for Sidearm final blows.
Reward
- 50,000 XP
The first objective is retroactive.
“The Final Strand” is a quest obtained from Neomuna’s Pouka Pond, accessible upon unlocking all Strand Fragments for one character. The quest itself is quite simple and shouldn’t take you long to finish. If you haven’t finished this quest yet, give our Final Warning guide a look. This part of the Seasonal Challenge is retroactive.
As for the second objective, you’ll need to defeat 100 combatants on Neomuna, SIdearm final blows granting additional progress. Equip a Sidearm you enjoy and head to your favorite Neomuna Lost Sector. We recommend farming Hydroponics Delta at Zephyr Concourse to get this done quickly, as that Lost Sector has dozens of enemies to kill.

Mod Collector
Mod Collector: Unlock Artifact mods.
Rewards
- 50,000 XP
- 150 Bright Dust
This challenge is retroactive.
Unlock 12 passive effects in your Artifact to finish this challenge. This should occur around when you hit rank 50 in the Season Pass. So long as you’re actively playing this season, you’ll get this finished in no time. If you’re struggling to level your character, give our XP leveling guide a look. And if you aren’t sure which passives are worth grabbing, consult our Ascendant Scepter Artifact guide.

Momentum Crash
Momentum Crash: Defeat Guardians in Momentum Control. Earn bonus progress with Zone Advantage.
Rewards
- 25,000 XP
- 75 Bright Dust
This challenge requires you to play a limited-time playlist. Keep an eye on the Crucible tab to see when Momentum Control is active.
Momentum Crash requires you to defeat 50 Guardians in the Momentum Control playlist. This is a variant of Control where the time-to-kill is greatly reduced across the board, making Scout Rifles and SMGs far stronger. We recommend using Jade Rabbit, Polaris Lance, Dead Man’s Tale, or your favorite SMG to get some easy kills. Try to capture two zones if possible to trigger Zone Advantage, giving you bonus progress for each kill.

Razor’s Edge
Razor’s Edge: Defeat targets with Swords, Bows, and Glaives in Gambit. Bonus progress for defeating Guardians.
Rewards
- 50,000 XP
- 150 Bright Dust
Razor’s Edge asks you to defeat enemies in Gambit with Swords, Bows, and Glaives. As for specifics, you’ll need:
- 60 Glaive final blows
- 30 Sword final blows
- 100 Bow final blows
If you want to get this done quickly, we recommend equipping a Glaive for add clear and a Sword to kill tougher mobs for your first few games. When both are done, you can either equip Trinity Ghoul or Leviathan’s Breath. Trinity Ghoul can easily rack up a high body count. Leviathan’s Breath is useful if you frequently Invade or want an easy way to kill enemy Invaders.

Darkest Nightfall
Darkest Nightfall: Complete any Nightfall strike on Hero difficulty or higher.
Rewards
- Nightfall Weapon
- 25,000 XP
- 75 Bright Dust
You’ll need to complete three Hero-difficultly Nightfalls to finish this challenge, higher difficulties granting more progress. We recommend farming Hero unless you are at the Pinnacle cap already, seeing as Hero features matchmaking and minimal Champions.

Precision Calibration
Precision Calibration: Calibrate marksman weapons—Scout Rifles, Sniper Rifles, and Linear Fusion Rifles—by landing precision final blows. Bonus progress against Guardians.
Rewards
- 25,000 XP
- 75 Bright Dust
You’ll need to land 200 precision final blows with Scouts, Snipers, or LFRs. The destination can be anywhere, not just Neomuna. We recommend booting up your favorite activity that’s packed with enemies. Some good areas include Shuro Chi in Last Wish, the Extraction Lost Sector in Savathun’s Throne World, and Defiant Battlegrounds. If Momentum Control is an active PvP playlist when you’re attempting this, that’s also a great place to get some easy precision kills.
